What does ABECODS do in e-commerce design and development?

ABECODS is a founder-led e-commerce agency in Doha, Qatar. It designs, builds, rebuilds and improves Shopify and WooCommerce online stores for brands in Qatar and the GCC. ABECODS reviews seven layers in a fixed order, from tracking to retention, and fixes what loses the most buyers first. Every build includes admin training and support after launch.

A good-looking online store can still lose most of its buyers. Redesigning the look rarely fixes it. Fixing the buying journey does.

  1. 01

    Tracking Events and attribution

    We check
Purchase, add-to-cart and checkout events fire once, carry the right value and match the orders in your online store.
    We fix
Duplicate or missing events, broken attribution, consent set-up.
    You receive
A tracking map and a baseline report.
  2. 02

    Technical Speed, mobile and stability

    We check
How pages load on a mid-range phone, how the mobile layout behaves, and what apps or plugins add to the weight.
    We fix
Heavy media and scripts, unstable plugins, broken mobile elements.
    You receive
    Before and after speed readings.
  3. 03

    Navigation Menus, search and collections

    We check
Whether a buyer reaches a product in a few taps, and whether menu labels, filters and search results match how people shop.
    We fix
Menus that use internal words, collections that hide best sellers, weak filters.
    You receive
A revised navigation and collection structure.
  4. 04

Product pages Content, images and offers

    We check
Whether the page answers what a buyer needs to decide: price, size, material, delivery and returns, with images that show the product in use.
    We fix
Thin descriptions, missing answers, unclear offers.
    You receive
A product page template and a content checklist.
  5. 05

Cart and checkout Payments, shipping and friction

    We check
A real order from first tap to confirmation on phone and desktop, using the payment methods your buyers use, including the bank verification step.
    We fix
Payment failures, extra steps, delivery costs that appear too late.
    You receive
A recorded checkout test, kept so the result can be repeated after changes.
  6. 06

    Trust Reviews, policies and proof

    We check
Whether delivery, returns and contact details are easy to find, and whether a first-time buyer sees reasons to believe the brand.
    We fix
Hidden policies, missing contact routes, no proof near the buy button.
    You receive
Trust elements placed where buyers hesitate.
  7. 07

    Retention Recovery and returning buyers

    We check
What happens after a buyer leaves the cart or completes an order, and whether returning buyers are recognised.
    We fix
No recovery message, no post-purchase follow-up.
    You receive
Abandoned-cart recovery by WhatsApp and email, set up and reported.

Repair it or rebuild it?

Repairing the layers that lose the most buyers can be enough, with no rebuild at all. We decide with you after the review, using these tests.

Repair when

  • Tracking, checkout or product pages are where buyers leave.
  • The platform can take the payment and delivery options you need.
  • The theme is sound and the online store is stable.

Rebuild when

  • The platform cannot support the payment, shipping or catalogue structure you need.
  • Plugins or the theme make the online store slow or unstable beyond repair.
  • The brand or range has outgrown the structure, or you are launching a new online store.

Shopify or WooCommerce?

We build on both, and we will say which fits your online store. A full comparison is in our guide.

Shopify fits when

  • You want a hosted platform and a quicker start.
  • You prefer an app ecosystem to custom code.
  • You want less technical upkeep for your team.

WooCommerce fits when

  • You need full control over code and hosting.
  • You already run your brand site on WordPress.
  • You need deep customisation of the buying journey.

In Qatar, Shopify Payments is not available (Shopify lists the countries where it works), so a Shopify online store here uses a third-party payment provider. We test the checkout with the payment methods your buyers use before launch.

How it runs

A build or an improvement project follows the same four steps, so you always know what comes next.

  1. ScopeWe agree goals, deliverables, access and the measures of success before any work starts.
  2. Set upWe confirm access to your online store, analytics and ad accounts, and record the starting baseline.
  3. DeliverThe work moves through agreed milestones, and nothing goes live without your approval.
  4. ReportWe review progress against the baseline and agree the next steps together.

You keep ownership of your online store, analytics and ad accounts. We work inside them with shared access.

Questions people ask

Which platforms do you build on?

ABECODS builds on Shopify and WooCommerce. If your online store runs on another platform, tell ABECODS and it will say honestly whether it is the right fit.

Can you improve our current online store instead of rebuilding it?

Yes. Fixing the layers that lose the most buyers is a valid first step and can be enough without a rebuild. After the seven-layer review, ABECODS tells you whether repair or rebuild fits your Shopify or WooCommerce online store.

Which payment methods work on an online store in Qatar?

Shopify Payments is not available in Qatar (Shopify's supported-countries list, checked October 2026), so a Shopify online store in Qatar uses a third-party payment provider. WooCommerce depends on the providers and plugins you choose. ABECODS recommends local payment providers such as SkipCash and Tap Payments and sets the integration up in your online store; the provider account, fees and approval are between you and the provider. Whichever route you take, ABECODS tests a complete order with the methods your buyers use before launch. Our guide to Shopify or WooCommerce in Qatar covers the options.

Can you build the online store in Arabic?

Yes. ABECODS builds Arabic and English online stores, including right-to-left layouts, according to what your project requires. The language setup is agreed in the scope before design starts.

Will our team be able to manage the online store after launch?

Yes. Every ABECODS build includes admin training and support after launch, and you keep ownership of the online store and its accounts.

How long does a build take?

It depends on the scope and the details of your project, and your ABECODS proposal states the timeline before work begins. A typical project runs four to six weeks: The Garden Centre project ran six and the Overdrive Watches project four.

Do you build native mobile apps?

No. ABECODS builds and improves Shopify and WooCommerce online stores only. For an app launch, ABECODS works as the marketing partner, not the app developer.
